What Apprenticeship opportunities are there in the NHS
in Coventry & Warwickshire?

The NHS offers apprenticeship programmes to young people between the ages of 16-24, in Business Administration, ICT and Health & Social Care (you will need to be 18+ years old to apply for a Health & Social Care Apprenticeship). All current apprenticeship vacancies are advertised on the National Apprenticeship Service website, and also on, together with instructions on how to apply.

What is the Apprenticeship programme?

This has been developed by the NHS to ensure that you receive training in all the skills required for a Healthcare Support Worker or Administration Assistant. You will be employed by the NHS from the very beginning of your training and be able to develop your knowledge and skills, whilst also gaining hands-on experience of the role.

The programme is a combination of theory and practice, with much of the learning being assessed on the Ward or in the Department. Every learning programme is tailored to suit the individual Apprentice, to ensure that the combination of theory and practice is the right one. The NHS has partnered with external Training Providers, and we work together to deliver a well-balanced, tailored programme.
